78 Christians Killed 146 Badly Injured in Twin Suicide Attacks on Church in Pakistan

Today 22 Sep 2013, Christian community in all over the Pakistan mourning on the brutally killings of our brothers, sisters and even small children in twin suicide attacks on St. John's Church Peshawar the capital city of Khyber Pakhtun Khan. It is the deadliest-ever attack on the Christian minorities another way of Christian's Persecution in Pakistan.

The church was packed with more than 500 children, women and men for Sunday prayer. On the end of the service when priest was saying the final words, two suicide bombers attacked, first they threw the hand-grenades and later they blow up themselves resultant 78 innocent children, women and men dead including 25 children and 20 women and girls. There are many families who have lost more than one person in these attacks. Each family has carried a dead body to their home.

There were blasts and there was hell for all of us," said Nazir John, who was at the church. "When I got my senses back, I found nothing but smoke, dust, blood and screaming people. I saw severed body parts and blood all around."


A School Teacher told, "I saw the innocent small kids crying and dying, I saw their feeders splashed with blood, I saw one two years child do not have head with his body" .

"A huge blast threw me on the floor and as soon as I regained my senses, a second blast took place and I saw wounded people everywhere," Khan told .

Doctor Mohammed Iqbal of Peshawar's Lady Reading Hospital told that 78 people had been killed and 146 wounded. Fellow doctor Sher Ali confirmed the numbers.

Sahibzada Anees, one of Peshawar's most senior officials, told reporters the bombers struck when the service had just ended. "Most of the wounded are in critical condition," Anees said.

Saloom Naeem 18, lost his all family, his father, mother, sister, brother and two uncles in these deadly attacks. Only two person survived he and his grandfather.


There are many wounded people in the Lady Reading Hospital, who are in sever need of blood, medicines, surgical operations and most important your prayers.

All Pakistan is Mourning on these deaths and announced three days mourning processions all over the country. All Churches, missionary institutes and schools will remain close for next three days.

Nearly, 200,000 Christians in KPK where 70,000 are residing the Peshawar. Now after the attacks in Peshawar, Christian across Pakistan will fear their lives.
